sorry everyone!

I've been MIA.
This semester has been crazy and I have been going nuts trying to do homework, catch up on orders, and help my friend plan a wedding! :)

Through all the craziness I still managed to create something special for Valentine's Day though!

head on over to my shop to check it out and order one for that special someone (or for yourself) before Valentine's Day!

The Vintage Daisy has been featured!!

I was featured today on this blog and it's the first time ever!
Pretty exciting if I do say so myself...it's just one of many steps of promoting my little business :)

Next stop : Martha Stewart's magazine! :) lol

Anywho...nothing new going on here. I'm working on getting some Valentine's cards and baby shirts on Etsy within the next week hopefully
I start classes next week so hopefully homework won't completely consume my life!

OH! Almost forgot! I added a cute little tote to my Etsy shop the other day and you should definitely go check it out

oh and Happy 2011!

work work work

I have been sitting at my dining room table for the past 6 HOURS working on different ways (and getting advice from others) on how to improve my Etsy shop and attract more business......minus an hour to make some delicious enchiladas.

I'm not going to lie... I've gotten to the point where I was a little unsure as to whether I was cut out for the 'business woman' lifestyle. Being a full time college student and having art classes everyday with hours upon hours of homework every night, I'm not able to have a real, hourly wage job like normal college students....THEREFORE....I decided to start this little business. Little did I know....starting a business (even a small one) is NOT an easy thing to do. Getting people to look at my stuff, let alone buy it, has been difficult and very disappointing. So today I sat down (6 hours ago right?) and decided I was going to talk to other Etsians in the forums and figure out what exactly I needed to be doing to get more people to buy my products. So after hours of studying, list making, and 2 enchiladas............................I'm still working on it.

I have faith now though. So that's good. I feel a little more confident that I can and will do this and although it will be a slow process it will all turn out A-OKAY! :) I can't be famous overnight right??

Well...I'm going to get back to work, but I felt that I needed a break and was in desperate need of some of the blogging world.

Goodnight! :)

ps: I'm still accepting feedback/advice from all of you as to what I can do differently, better, or whatever......

Merry Christmas to all and to all a GOOD NIGHT!

i'm exhausted.

that's all there is to say.
this entire week has been packed full of peanut butter ball rolling, pie making, pretzel dipping, and tons and tons of present wrapping.. i have to say that i had a blast though, even though i'm sitting here now with my feet propped up wondering how i will ever be able to get myself off the couch. :)

i had a great time with my family and everything was crazy busy, but i wouldn't have it any other way! i have one more Christmas dinner to go and then i have to wait another year until i get to do it all over again!

i hope everyone's Christmas was filled with joy and blessings :) Merry Christmas!

it's finally here!

Today marked the first official day of my Christmas break!
Finals are over and I can now focus my attention on getting presents together and creating all of the last minute photo frames people are ordering before Christmas. :)

I can't believe that there are only 8 days left! Time has flown by and I'm not sure how I'm going to get everything done! I will have a busy week of shopping, wrapping, and baking ahead of me..
but these are all things that make the holidays fun for me.

the only thing that could make the holidays better for me would be some snow..there is nothing I love more than a white Christmas :) ..and snow angels, building snowmen, going sledding, and staying outside until you can't possibly take it any longer then warming up with a cup of hot cocoa covered with tiny marshmallows..it's the best.

here are the last two frames that I have done.. I loved how they turned out and I wanted to share them with you!

tis the season....

for Christmas break!

graphic design systems final portfolio - check
black and white photography portfolio - check

only 2 finals to go and then i am FREE! :)
 (until January)

It's a wonderful feeling really... and it will be nice to have some time to work on my projects and catch up on my invitation and photo frame orders. Sometimes I feel like I have so much going on that I'm not even sure what it is I should be doing at that specific moment. I have sketchbooks full of ideas and lists and a planner that can't even be called a planner anymore because it is so full that it can't possibly do it's given job of "planning." (crazy crazy stuff right?) Although my planner is full and it stresses me out the teeniest tiniest bit I still can't help but be excited for the new year so I can buy a new planner and do it all over again! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy the time with your families!

My latest project...

I just got done doing these beautiful, simple wedding invitations! I loved every second of it and they turned out great!

Each invitation has a silver glitter "M" on them for the last name and small, green, painted dots for a little extra fun and color. :)

After many glittery letters and little green dots...Here's the final product!

...and I even wrapped them all up!
